Bored Bored Bored!

So it's a Saturday night and I am so extremely bored. Everyone either already made plans, are out of town, or something probably fun. And then there's me, I'm at my brothers house while John and Kim are taking a shower together! Can I say awkward. Haha!
O Joy... my friend Kaylee just texted me and said there was a bon fire at Ethans tonight. Maybe I will hit that up.
So Kim is singing opera in the shower! At least their talking so I know they arent doing other stuff! HaHa! Okay that was sick and wrong and a sight I dont even want to think about. Anyways shower just turned off, I got to go.

Youth Conference 2009

I went to youth conference this past weekend. It was one of the most spirtual and uplifting times of my life. Before I went I kinda was just dwindling farther and farther away. I had no ambition to go to church or even read my scriptures anymore. There was a reason why I didnt want to go to church and let someone control that decision. ((Everyone probably knows who that person is)) I was in a spiritual drought. I knew that I was drifting...but i didnt know how to get myself back. I went with a prayer in my heart and the willingness to find myself again. We had an EFY speaker come up and this is what truely changed my life. He made us look in a mirror for 1 minute. It was harder than you think it would be. At first I wondered what the purpose of this was going to be. But after ten seconds of looking at myself my eyes started tearing up...and I knew what that purpose was. Afterwards he told us to write down what we thought... here's what I wrote... "Who am I anymore? I cant even look into myself..I dont know who I am! I am tired of not having the light of christ in my eyes. I need to find myself again"
The next day came and we went through our activities. One of the last activities we had was a stake testimony meeting. I knew that this was going to be a very emotional time for me. And like I thought, it was. All of the youth leaders were asked to get up and bear their testimony. Well I was the first one to get up. I wasnt scared at all, and that's not like me. I dont remember alot about what I said, but I felt the spirit SO strong. I knew that I had found Katie again. I'm not letter her go this time. After the meeting my friend Kenny came up to me and he told me that no one has ever been able to bring tears to his eyes...but he said I touched his heart and he will never forget the spirit that i brought to the meeting. That strengthened me even more. That's the type of person I want to become to everybody, someone that people look at and love to be around me because of the spirit that I have. That will be my last youth conference! I am so glad that I had the opportunity to plan it and be involved with it. It was the best experience I have ever had. I would like to leave with a quote...a quote that I believe is very true! "Strengthen your testimony, and your testimony will strengthen you"!!!

Most Amazing Prom Ever :)

Wow, words cant express how much fun I had at prom.  For the day date we went fourwheeling up blackrock. By the time we were done we were soaked and muddy from going through all the puddles... That's when I was driving :). I never wanted it to end. We went so far up the mountain that we ran into some snow banks and I started a killer snowball fight. I started the fight, but trust me I didnt end it! HaHa! We were all in shorts and just a t-shirt. It got kinda Nippy! But it was a time that I will never forget. We got done with the day date at around four. Dinner was at six thirty, so I was a little stressed because I had to take a shower before I could do my hair because of the mud. But it turned out to be alright. David looked so handsome. I think my mom is obsessed with him. Everyday she tells me how adorable he is, but hey it's the truth :). So we went and had dinner at our friend Kenny's house. We had a candle-lit dinner. We ate this amazing spinich dip with chips, salad, alfredo, meatballs, and of course cake for desert. We had good entertainment, Aka: Kenny's brother! Wow this kid was hilarious, he was giving the boys tips on how to score. Not basketball.... If you know what I mean. But he was totally just kidding and giving them crap. So after that we went to the dance and danced the night away. The theme was Love in Paris. Then afterward we went to davids house and had chocolate fondue and just sat and played games. My parents let me stay out way late... Like two thirty! It was so much fun! I wish I could take it and do it all over. But I'm sure this isnt going to be the last. So that was Prom!!!

Getting Asked to Prom

So it was the wierdest thing. My parent had left to their friends house and before they left my mom looked me in the eyes and said specifically "if someone comes to the door DO NOT answer it, even if it was someone you know" I said "okay mom, I am not in preschool anymore". So about twenty minutes pass... I am sitting on the couch...it is now about ten o'clock...I hear the door bell ring! I remember my moms words in my head "if someone comes to the door DO NOT answer it, even it was someone you know"...Well guess what I do? I answer the door. Noone was there and I looked down and seen a tub of ice cream on the doorstep. I pick it up. On it it says "I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream. I know it will be a mess but I hope the answer is a YES". Then he made me dig through the ice cream, I used a spoon cause i didnt want to get my fingers dirty, and in it he hid his name at the very bottom. So i called my mom, assuming she had something to do with it when she said not to answer the door. But she swore on her life that she didnt know anything about it! She just said she had a feeling that someone was going to come to the door. It's wierd how parents have preminitions like that. Anyway, that was the cherry on top of a perfect day :)

Life and Stuff

So I havent wrote in a while. HaHa sorry about that! Life is still good! Prom is coming up pretty soon and I am so excited. Although, I got asked to Century's and Highlands, I just found out they are on the same day. So I think I will go to Centurys, cause David asked me first :) But I am so excited. He is an amazing boy! So I have been sick the past few days with a cold. It isnt very fun at all! But I am feeling better today. Umm..I dont know what else to say! I will leave with a quote... " This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time" DO we want to be the type of people who sit on the sidelines or do we want to be out on the field playing the game? You only live once, make the best of it. Have fun, dont worry about things you cant control. Learn from your mistakes, grow closer to your Heavenly Father, and most importantly be the person you are meant to be :)

Quote of the Week

So every week I am going to post a blog on a quote that I find. Then I am going to put my own thoughts of it... So this is what I want ya'll to do...Comment and tell me what you think of it!

"Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are."

This quote is so true. I think most teenagers would agree with me. I think we are more concerned with fitting the status quo that we end up loosing ourselves. If we stand up for what we believe in, I think we would realize there are more people out there who are just too afraid to do it first. When we get out of Highschool, ten years down the road, people arent going to remember who was the most popular jock or who was the biggest nerd in school. So why do we focus on that now? Why cant we just all come together and be friends? What is going to matter, in ten years, is who we have BECOME! If you dont start focusing on building your character now your going to be lost when you get out of the halls of Highschool. Am I right?
